This is a very delicate situation. If you are already pregnant, no matter how you get rid of it, it is an abortion. If you want to get rid of your pregnancy and can't face this, you need to talk to a therapist. But whatever you do, don't go into denial about being pregnant, because this will only compound your problem more.

If you don't want to have a surgical abortion you can have a medical abortion which involves you taking a few pills and having a miscarriage. This seems like it would be a good option for you, give how you feel.

Whatever you do, make sure you don't go through it alone. I'm sorry about the horridly insensitive replies you've gotten here.

Thats a strange question, because to purpously end a pregnancy, by whichever method is an abortion. But i think I know what you mean. I think you mean how can you do it yourself without medical intervention.

Well simply you cant. If having the baby will be the end of the world for you go and seek help right now! Despite the rights or wrongs of it an unwanted child being born to a mother who dosenst want it does not need to happen. But be 100% certain that is what you want

Why would you want to get rid of as you say a pregnancy, when pregnancy should be a wonderful experience, for both of you. I would strongly disagree with an abortion thats for sure, as i am now suffering from going through two of them myself.

You cant do get rid of a pregnancy w/out having an abortion. The only way that can happen is if you miscarried.

???
I am speechless.
I'm assuming you're scared and worried about this pregnancy, am I at all right?
There is no way to kill your child other than having an abortion. But I wouldn't recommend it.
Once you get through the fear and worry, you realise what a gift the child is.
Most people who have an abortion regret it. Most people who don't don't regret it. And I'm talkign about the people who were contemplating abortion here, not the ones that planned their kids.

I strongly recommend you talk to a counselor before doing anything. There are emotional ramifications to ending a life that one can't even comprehend until they are in the midst of dealing with it. Where I live there is a place called Pregnancy Care Center. They do not do abortions, but there are counselors there to talk to, and they have means to help you should you decide to keep your baby. Planned Parenthood and other similiar places will offer options as well.

If your question is more specifically is there a way to self-abort... please do not even try it, you are risking your own life messing around with such things. A baby will take the nutrients it needs from the mother - at the cost of the mother if needed -- so doing things like trying to starve yourself will cause you problems but will most likely not cause you to miscarry/ lose the baby.

If you really don't wish to raise the baby, consider adoption, there are lots and lots of people who can't have children of their own that would love to adopt a baby! (Some of these people can't have children due to scarring tissue because of abortions...)

One really needs to consider all of these possibilities BEFORE they choose to have sex. Our culture is really terrible about telling people about all potential consequences of sex. We are really good about talking about STDs and possible pregnancies, but we don't ever mention the emotions that go along with sex, or that go with choosing to end a life that began inside you.

Go to your GP and ask about a course of pills which he or she can give you. If you are in the very early stages of your pregnancy, say 3 or 4 weeks it is possible that you can take this pill daily and the embryo will then come out when you menstruate.

Not unless it happens naturally, you miscarry.

Other than that, both ways are considered abortion, via vacuumed out or the abortion pill.
