I'm replaying Resident Evil 4....?

Question

I'm replaying Resident Evil 4, professional level, on the GameCube. I'm having a hell of a time beating Krauser's psychotic self, any suggestions? I'm in a position where i can buy a rocket launcher and most of my weapons are close to maxed out levels, he just moves so much faster than on the normal level and has these damn one-hit kills.

Thanks for the responses, I was expecting at the most 1 since it been out for a awhile, I should have known otherwise since it so damn addicting, I'm working 7 days a week but as soon as I get a chance to play, whoever's tip get's me past that psycho will get best answer. An update on my weapons, I have the Striker, Assault rifle, Blacktail, TMP & Broken Butterfly, they're at almost max (short of the exclusives). I have enough money to max out the firepower on the Striker and bring the B.B. up to 24, I'll do that and skip buying a Rocket Launcher. I want to ask what do you get for beating Professional Level but I don't want it spoiled for me.

I'll grant you my strategy takes some luck in him doing the right move quickly enough.But still

I just pull out the BB and walk away from him. If he does anything but the double spin-kick, I dodge. If he does that kick, I pop him in the face, then run up and slash him once (or if I'm really fast and luck twice). For some silly reason, Capcom decided to make the knife have roughly the same power as a magnum on Krauser.

This is what always works for me!............When the cut sequence finishes be ready to do the quick time move to duck from Krauser's attack, you'll find yourself still on the ledge but a little more round to the side. Try to get Leon to the far right side of the ledge (opposite edge to where you found the door piece) here you should face Krauser so now you have ur back to the ledge and a wall flush to ur right. This is a great position because from here Krauser will only attack you from the front but just keep pressing those quick time move buttons. After Krauser attacks he kneels on the ground in front of you, when he does this take out ur knife and slash that mofo's face good! He'll compose himself and attack again so just keep avoiding the attacks and slashing his face when he kneels, It should only take 3 or 4 attempts like this to end him! The knife is the best weapon to use against Krauser, Ive completed the game like 20+ times and this is always the quickest way to kill Krauser. I think that's a hint they give while you have the quick time move battle sequence with Krauser, it really seems to emphasise the fact that the knife does hurt him! Also another great tip if you don't use ur knife that much is whenever u come to a part where ur on or have access to a ladder like in the mine or the island where you encounter the first JJ, just get to the top of the ladder and stand far enough back so the hatchet throwing ganados don't hit you and take out ur knife and constantly slash! They'll come up the ladder one by one and fall of, they will get back up and try again but after 2 or 3 hits they'll fall for the last time, be dead forever and u'll have saved urself some ammo! Of course this doesn't work with the big mini gun wielding JJ's! Hope this helped, I love resi and I've practically played it inside out, backwards and upside down!! lol Its great to see fellow fans still playing! :)

Do you have the Broken Butterfly maxed out? If so, it has a level 50 attack. Try this strategy, it worked well for me. Use the shotgun to shoot at his legs. This way, the spray will damage him even if he moves. Then, when his head is exposed use the Broken Butterfly for a headshot. With the high attack power of this gun, this is the quickest way to take him out. It should only take a few good headshots from the Broken Butterfly to kill him. Good luck, I think this is the hardest part of the game played on Professional. Krauser is unbelievably fast.

i had the same problem with the PS2 one what idid i used the magnum at his legs when he goes down shoot him in the face it tricky thou make sure your guns are tuned up it worked for me good luck
