I have a very funny dilemma...

i have bt broadband with a bt home hub..

but whenever somebody calls my landline.. i get disconnected from internet...

any help

much appreciated...

There should be a filter to separate the internet line and phone line. Please check with your service provider.

If they can't help, try to use optical by other service provider.

Sounds like you don't have an ADSL filter on your phone line to the handset. Does the same thing happen if you make an outgoing call? If so this is the most likely cause. Look in the box your broadband modem/router came in and see if you have a small white box about the size of a box of matches. Connect this to the phone line your phone handset is connected to and you should be ok. If you dont have one, contact your modem/router supplier - they should have supplied one.

You need filters fitted between every piece of telephone equipment and it's socket as well as the one for the dsl connection. this includes things like sky boxes, faxes etc.

i also encountered that problem.... you need to purchase a filter and connect it to your telephone...
