If you are interested in architecture, I highly recommend the Bombay Heritage Walks. Very informative and less commercial than other tous. My friend and I were also able to pay for a private talk.

Also great is Mani Bhavan - it is the house that Ghandi used to stay when he was in Mumbai. It is now a memorial with a room showing his personal belongings, a great exhibit on his life and to top it off, the neighborhood is beautiful.

2. Elephanta caves (boat ride is must)
3. Fire temples in Fort area ( one alongside D N Road has got a beautiful facade), diagonally opposite Khadi emporium.
4. CST ( widely known as VT station) and the associated mutli-hued crowds.
5. Mazgaon garden ( nearer dockyard station and accessible from Sales tax office lanes) for docks view
6. SBI HQ building
7. Bandra Kurla complex buildings
