Don't be silly. Why would you give a 12 year old a game rated "M"? It is far to adult and violent for a child of that age. Jack Thompson should focus on parents that give their child this game instead of Rockstar for making it.

No way! I hear that game was banned in England... Manhunt is one of the most violent, disturbing series of games being made. It's about as suitable for a 12-year-old as the movies Hostel and Saw are.

I played the original Manhunt... You get items like glass shards and plastic bags, and have to kill people in the most violent and gruesome way possible, so that it looks more entertaining and scores you more points, because that looks better in the snuff video being filmed...

In the UK it's got a rating of 18. It's an 18 for a reason. Swearing, blood, guts n brains and a level where you play a terrorist in an airport... There are levels and content in the game that may not be suitable for a minor, yes there are options in the game to miss-out these parts but are YOU gonna sit and watch your kids play thru it so you could screen what's going on? Didn't think so! Do you let em watch movies aimed at adults? Do you let em play other games with age ratings or with "unsuitable" content? Good on ya for asking and taking an interest in what your kids are playing tho. well done.

No, it's not intended for that age group.

It's a very violent and brutal game. Any game with an "M" rating is not intended for a child. Some are not as bad as others, but really none are suitable. Manhunt is altogether nasty and is particularly unsuited to kids.

Personally I've never had any bad effects of playing violent video games that I was too young to play, but I suppose that can't be said of for everybody. So you're probably just better off sticking to the age ratings.

Do you think bashing brains and chopping of people's heads , explicit language, and sexual themes suitable for the minds of 12 year olds? I think not, unless you want your kid to play this game and grow up with a psychotic mind.

I have to say no. It's really gruesome and has a lot of very violent concepts, and is rated M for mature players. It's up to you to decide what the child's maturity level is, but having played it, it's pretty over the top for even a life-long gamer like myself.

Personally I woudlnt give that game to a 12 year old. Not because it will twist them when they're older or anything like that, but because I know when I was that age I wouldnt have been able to handle a game like that. It would have given me nightmares for weeks. If you think they can handle it tho. Then I dont see a reason not to give it to them.

It really depends on the child, and although it is probably one of the darkest and most graphic games out there, I played the first one being not much older than he is and I found no problem with it. If he wants it, I'd let him have it, after all, its just a game.
