Vividly! When I was a kid, we had an 11" Motorola TV set. No remote control, and there always seemed to be a black bar on one side or the other. I lived in Chicago and we had NBC, CBS, ABC, WGN and PBS. That was it! A friend of mine had a round 5" screen. Funny, but the cabinets on both of our sets were huge. We've come a long way with sets. Too bad the quality of programming hasn't made the journey.

Sure do. And I remember we had "snowy" reception, too. My father would go out on the roof and adjust the antenna to make the picture come in clearer. Actually we had a black and white TV that just wouldn't die until a few years ago! (we had others, of course) Those were the days!

LOL...yep. And I remember when Mohamed Ali was Cashius Clay. I remember the Jack Benny Show, The Steve Allen Show, and Allen Fount. My dad try to spray paint the front of our old TV green because he thought it would make it a color TV. LOL. Those were the days.

Sure do!! Ziggyman;
I was a kid when the turner knob broke and we had to use the screw driver to flip the five channel's that were on then, and i used to love to watch the honeymooner's all the time, and the art linkletter show. and howdy doody too.
I was once on a show asan adudiance member of the MICKEY MOUSE FAN CLUB>MISS those day's now all is remote's and no one will ever just stand up to change the channel or turn on power , when the remote is misplaced.

Absolutely remember it. We went to my Grandparent's house for special things, like 'Star Trek,' but everything else we muddled through with on the B/W. Boy, those were the days!
Dragnet; The FBI; Hawaii 5-0; Gentle Ben; Bewitched; That Girl!; Adam 12; Flipper; too many to recall . . .

I do! I also remember my best friend who had one with a round screen that was about the size of a pie plate! I was watching THE WIZARD OF OZ tonight and i could remember watching it when i was a child when it was still in black and white and it was on a small black and white T.V! Do you remember Garfield Goose in Chicago? The goose puppeteer died this week! Was in the tribune today!
