i have a 10g tank and my male is not blowing bubbles in a stirofoam cup i cut and put up in the tank so that it has its nest, the female has a big white stomach as if it was pregnant and ready to mate am i doing anything wrong?

That's absolutely normal
some males don't build bubblenests until you put the female with him for the spawning process
Don't put her in too early though, especially not if you haven't conditioned them for 2 weeks havily on protein food

You are not doing anything wrong. Its that the fish just aren't ready. Check all your water parameters and if they are ok, just let nature take its course
