if it happens, i reckon i'd pick them up myself. i mean, yes, my best friend will listen to me whine and cry, but he knows that after drowning myself in my tears, that i will pick myself up to stand again. besides, he has a girlfriend now. so if he ever has the time to listen at all, i'd be grateful.
besides, how can someone else pick up the pieces if not yourself? only you know where the teeny pieces had scattered to. and only you know how to fix it. because its your heart and not other people's.
besides, i don't think it's fair to expect or have someone else pick up the pieces of the broken you. because you're at your worst. i don't think that kinda impression is what that other person wants to see.
haha! i'm just kidding about that! but good question.

When my Lab Molly died from cancer, it felt like my heart broke and would never mend, but then along came Amy another Lab and it started to heal a little, then along came Milly, and it's almost back to normal. Still the odd twinge when l think about Molly, which tends to be a few time a day, think it always will. So my two Labs helped me to pick up the pieces of my broken heart.

sometimes ppl who we love do break our hearts but they too pick up the broken pieces

Yes. I have been one of the fortunate ones to have had good friends and family to see me through it plus a good shrink helps.lol

nah no one will will pick it up. its been broken for a year now and someone seem to care. can you pick up the pieces and glue them so my heart can beat again. please.
