The BEST movie I've seen that few Americans under 60 have seen: Rififi (1955, full title: Du rififi chez les hommes, 99% French (subtitled), 1% Italian). It is film noir, and still excellent all these years later. Four small-time criminals plan the perfect heist, led by Tony le Staphanois, the thief who rats out no one, takes the rap, and does what he must to keep a woman in line. If ever there were a personification of "honor among thieves," it is he. His approach to life is in his loyalty.

The film is a great lesson in men working as a team, and once you accept that all the technology is vintage first-generation, you can enjoy their marvelous ingenuity.

The heist scene is legendary: 32 minutes without music, without dialogue. Director Jules Dassin, who himself is acting in the scene as the safecracker, gets everything he needs from his actors, with just their nod or hand gestures. Pure action, superbly done: the tension, the anticipation as they near their prize, is captivating.

And it's film noir, so the deadly sins of greed, lust and anger soon loom large.

The movie was quickly banned in Mexico because so many thieves took lessons from the movie and went out and tried out their new skills!

I'm giving nothing away by suggesting that you pay attention at the end of the movie to how the director uses, or subtly doesn't use, nearby sounds. Enjoy!

It's nearly 6 a.m. I'll try to return with more titles, as there are so many that I saw once then have seen no trace of again except occasionally in video guides.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has seen these films! Sometimes I feel that I AM the only one who's seen them. Maybe I can add the dates later on after I get some sleep.

Wow! Except for the pretend movies, I think I've seen practically every REAL film listed. Maybe I'll note those in a list down here.
Office Space~I think a lot of people have caught this one because I see it on many favorites or suggestion lists.
But I'm a Cheerleader~That's a funny bit in which Melanie Lynskey of "Heavenly Creatures" crops up at the camp.
Human Trafficking~I haven't watched all of this yet.

I love this question. Not to bust them off on you, but dont you love it when you see 100 posts like this one:

"Has anybody seen the new Harry Potter movie?"

I mean come on. Do they REALLY think they are the only one who saw it?

So no. There is no such thing as a movie that only I saw. At least not a theatrical release anyway.

Reefer Madness.
A hopelessly stupid propaganda movie so full of ridiculous crap, made in the 40's that, much like a train wreck, I could not stop watching.
It is without a doubt, one of the best "B" movies I have ever seen. You can rip it up from one side to the next.

Officespace, No one has seen that movie, cuz if they had we would probably see injury by self inflicted stapeling to head on a more frequent basis.

"Cannibal: The Musical" I think that is what it is called. The South Park creators made it when they were in college in Colorado. It is not so good but if you watch it with the DVD commentary it is pretty funny.
