selling cigarettes to minors (under 18s) are illegal right? but how bout the minor (under 18), if he/she goes to a shop and asks for cigarettes is that illegal? and can he/she get arrested or something? is under 18 buying cigarettes illegal? or is it just only the seller.

the minor just said "xxxx" (the brand name) and the shopkeeper gave him/her the cigs. which part of the conversation/deal is illegal??
but most important is did the minor have any illegal acts:
1. asking for the cigarettes,
2. giving the money
3. taking them
we all know selling them already illegal so focus on the above 3 parts. thanks!!!

It depends, did the minor try to pretend or lie to make the clerk think he or she was over age 18?

in az its only illigal for the kid to have tge smokes its illigal to sell them to the kid, but it is not illigl for the kid to try per say
