We saw a commercial this evening for Burger King showing a van crashing onto the sidewalk in an effort to run down BK's "King". We found it to be the most disturbing and violent commercial we have ever seen on TV. It was reminiscent of an out of control motorist that plowed into innocent pedestrians killing and injuring many. One of our dear friends was stuck by that car and is still in rehabilitation. The thought of this happening is truly disturbing.

We tried to contact BK Headquarters but they do not accept email so we will call and complain about this violent and disgusting ad when their office open on Monday.

Are we the only ones that found this ad to be way over the top and violent?

It is simply a COMMERCIAL...and in response to the other lady up there yes I have had a friend ran over and killed, but this ad is fantasy. Just like movies, videos games, and the like are FANTASIES. If you do not like it turn the channel and forget it. I am rather shocked at your annoyance of a commercial.

You are NOT the only one offended by this ad and many other 'entertainment' offerings.

The current commercial airing in my area shows three mothers hiring a hit man to 'take out' the 'King'. They choose the option of 'nice and slow' when asked how they'd like 'it' done.

The overall desensitization of America and the acceptance of viewing proposed 'REAL life' televised programming is disgusting. Burger King is one of many companies that encourage violence and has received a letter of complaint from me. I haven't gotten any response and don't expect to. I have chosen to never spend another dime there and encourage you to do the same.

i am sorry for your friend i know this hits close to home for you but it does for me too. i know someone who was hit by a truck on his motorcycle and now only has one leg. but really its just a commercial it doesnt offend me. its not worth it, dont complain its just ridiculous! its not like BK was trying to personally offend you or anything they can advertise however they want to. there are way more important things you should worry and complain about (the wars going on, global warming etc...)

I agree with you. I think the ad agency should be a little more creative and come up with something more original. It sends out the wrong message. I know its just a joke , but the thought of people wanting to kill someone over something as trivial as a breakfast sandwich is not funny.Maybe if the king just eats enough of the crap they serve at BK he will die quicker.

Yes. We should get rid of all violence in ads, and anything else that could be remotely offensive. Run "care bears" 24-7, and no one will be hurt.

I to find the ads disturbing. There is another bk ad that involves three ladies hiring a hit man to "get rid" of the king. I think that this marketing is inappropriate. Good luck with trying to contact BK headquarters.

I am not disturbed in that sense, but I am realizing that so many companies waste money on these lame useless commercials.

It's just a commercial. You must be incredibly weak minded to allow this to get to you in this way.

Well the commercial is a little strange. I mean why would anyone want to run down the BK King to show they wan to eat burger king food. But, as to the question is it too violent I think no. Are you going to complain that Law and Order or CSI is too violent because they depict real crime scenes and events based on true stories? I'm not going to waste my time but you can do what you want its a free life!

p.s. Hope your friend recovers with his accident, I was hit by a car riding by bicycle and a guy in a truck ran a stop sign never even bother to look directly in front of him to see me.
