I just bought a pregnant dalmation molly, but I'm not sure how far along she is. She's pretty big, but I'm no expert. So, instead of putting her through the stress of releasing her into the tank and then later trying to catch her to put her in a breeding net, I thought it'd be easier (for the both of us) if she just stayed in there until she had her babies. I was just looking for a little advice if you have any. Thanks!

no it's not ok, because on a dalmatian molly you can hardly even tell if she's pregnant at all since you can't see a gravid spot
I have had my female for a whole year with a male, and she never got pregnant

she will be way to stressed out in this little cage, it's way to small for a dalmatian molly
get instead some live plants where your fry can hide out in
I'ts healthier and non stressful for your molly
Here is also an article for you to read up on

Hope that helps
Good luck

yes it is okay to stay a while - the darker the gravid spot (behind her back lower fin) the more pregnant

this breeding net has a place for the babies to escape from the momma right?

ya its ok. my platy fish is pregnant and it is in a breeding net. it will probably be in there for another week. but make sure the daddy fish can actually see the mother fish.
