As you may already know, the Legend of Zelda: aLttP was remade on the GBA. It was remade because so many people loved it and wanted it to return once more. I've played, beaten, and wrung out every single Zelda game, and this one still comes to be my favorite. This was the first Zelda game, let alone the first videogame I ever played. There are two versions, a single-player version (Link to the past) and multiplayer (Four Swords). In Four Swords, you can link up with up to three other players and must work together to make your way through 5 levels of the game. The two games are also linked, for example: in A Link to the Past, there is a chamber called the Palace of the Four Sword. You can only enter this if you've completed the Four Swords with a friend.
The Music is astonishing in mine, and many others' opinions. It's some of the most diverse game music ever put through a GBA game.
Zelda has been longly recognized as a game with great storylines, and I think this game easily shows that. If you are one to take the time to read what is happening and what NPC's are saying, it's easily understandable.
As for replayability? There isn't much. If you have never played this game before (on the SNES) then this is a game that will take a week or longer to complete. After you've completed the game, then there is the Four Swords, the Palace of the Four Sword (includes an alternate ending), another sword attack, various new items and some sub-quests, and last but not least the scattered pieces of heart to collect. Most people just play through the game and don't care about the extras though.
The graphics are not the best I've seen on the GBA, but they are definately not bad whatsoever.
If you've played any Zelda game before and liked it to any degree, I think you'd like this game. If not, check out some reviews on GameFaqs, maybe a few videos of gameplay, to get a good feel for the game.
I believe Amazon sells this game for $20.00, brand new, or you could buy just the cartridge for less than 15 dollars.

I have completed it about five times and it was pretty good. It is mainly a game for Zelda fans that need something to complete while they wait for a better one to come out. Pretty fun though, just like all Zelda games: full of adventure and animated violence, best combonation of gaming history! It depends how much you would be buying it for. I would say no more than $30. It really isn't worth much anymore.

You just need to go east of the pyramid and continue on until you're in the Dark World version of the area where you completed the first dungeon in the Light World. Ruffle through the bushes there and you'll eventually navigate your way to the Palace of Darkness (although you'll have to pay a monkey at least 110 rupees in order to open the entrance to the dungeon, depending on whether you can get him there without taking damage along the way). Once your inside, just look around and you'll be able to find your way through the palace. Be warned, though: the Palace of Darkness has a lot of locked doors, so you're going to need several keys from all sorts of places in order to progress. In addition, there are enemies whose movement is proportioned to the amount of steps you take in any given direction; of these, there are two varieties, and the one that moves in the direction opposite of you can only be killed using the bow and arrows.

it was good on gameboy, but better on super nintendo.
on gameboy, i don't really remember exactly, but it was something like the R button is the sword or secondary weapon or something crazy like that. this is because on super nintendo there were a, b, x, and y buttons, and gba only has a and b
however, this is still a great zelda game, with all the puzzles, exploration, etc.. that you come to expect from the name "Zelda"

No it is not. It is very hard and it has bad graphics. Plus, it was originally released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992.
I like Ocarina of Time for the N64 better. It has better graphics and is the #1 video game of all time.
