ooooh how the chat rooms used to be... how i remember them days..or like the days of the message boards... i could go on.

i'm talking late 90's. like 96 or 97 up til say 01...it used to be wild...all sorts of stuff you have to pay for now would be free....oh man them were the day's. kids now a days don't know what they were missing.
now the chat rooms i heard..well last time i was in one was well over 6 years ago..but they are full of bots and crap like that. but there was a time it was good. easy to navigate..etc.

I know what you mean. I remember being in chat rooms for a large portion of my internet time.

Yeah, it used to be great. Chat rooms now take forever to get in, and are full of bots. There are no member chat rooms like they used to be. Same for groups. Bots are taking over yahoo groups now as well. Sad thing is though, the only way you can get rid of most of the bots is if Yahoo started charging for its service. You can't even go to the member directory anymore because of Bots. Its starts with the name like AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa and just goes on from there, almost neverending. No one is real, and NO ONE fills out a profile anymore so its really hard to tell WHEN someone is real. If anyone finds a better , but similar site to yahoo, the way it was, please let me know.

I can't recall. It's just been too long. I haven't even been able to get onto messenger in 2 months. Just crashes with an error message the minute I log in. I even took it out and reinstalled. No luck! I miss the user made chat rooms and private rooms. My friends and I liked the private ones because we didn't have to worry about the perves and freaks pestering us. Too bad the perves and freaks ruined it for everyone.

It's just that Too! many on site are in a down mood , and
write as they feel , and some are just into,asking question's for their homework, with-out having to do it on their own, I wish it was as before when chatting was enjoyable, and I would stay on until I could not type any more.
Message board's were fun..

i know just what your saying i miss all my old friends and the chat room bull chit we all us to cut up and carry on.. when my husband and i met we gave up the Internet and we just got another computer now its just getting on the web we both said no chat ... it can be a Great thing ... but you do miss it alot because of the friends you met on here and the fun.. but your right it isn't nothing like it use to be that's for sure .. well best of luck to you hon...;)

Hahahah. Yes, I've thought about this all too often. Yahoo has definately gone downhill with some of these good-for-nothing features and such. Chatrooms suck these days too. Too bad.... I remember when the chatrooms were fun. Man. That just sucks.

oh yes the good old chat rooms, especially the fight room oh yea back in the good old days.makes me miss my freedom of speech to.
