Definitely better to get a car with crumple zones. A rigid car does not absorb the impact of a crash, unlike crumble zone cars that are specifically designed to crumble and absorb force. The end result is that your body absorbs the impact instead in a rigid car. So even in a minor fender-bender, you can suffer serious internal injuries.

A car with crumple zones is better because it cushions the impact of the accident by dispersing the energy through the vehicle and decreasing the amount that you absorb. The rigid car may look better after the accident but you wont fill better riding in the rigid car.

The crumple zone is better because when you get into an accident, the momentum gets dispersed so you slow down, which is better for you.

The rigid car keeps the momentum going, and then when you come to a sudden stop, your body is still moving and when you hit something, your body comes to a sudden stop, but your internal organs will continue to move, and when it suddenly stops, it can severe, which can kill you.

Imagine hitting the wall with a tightly closed fist and a loosely closed fist. Which hurts more? The tightly closed fist because it doesn't give, while a loosely closed fist has some give, so it doesn't hurt as much.
