Egg yolks are rich in cholesterol, fats, some protein, vitamins and other nutrients.
Egg whites are rich in protein alone, and is cholesterol free.
If someone had a heart condition, it would be preferable to try to reduce one's saturated fat intake and other advices of the doctor. Therefore, it would be better to eat egg whites instead of egg yolks, as long as the person's vitamin and other nutrient intake is fine. Multivitamin and and other necessory supplements can make it up if it's not enough.
However, remember that the main reason is not actually due to the cholesterol in egg yolks. Cholesterol levels in the blood is tightly regulated by the body, and any normal dietary intake (assuming one doesn't consume a whole gallon of cholesterol a day) would have NO IMPACT on blood cholesterol levels. It is the combination of saturated fats in food, some genetic predisposition and years of less than balanced eating that cause problems with blood cholesterol and cardiovascular problems like heart attacks, high blood pressure and stroke.
Lots of fruits, vegetables, water, exercise and less of fatty foods will go a long way to helping with the condition and general health.
Hope it helped! Stay safe and eat healthy!
PS. Try not to eat eggs raw. They just screw up the body's metabolism and ability to function.

The egg white is just protein, but the yolk packs a lot of other nutrients. The egg white alone does not taste great. It is better to eat the whole egg. Some people worry about the high cholesterol level in the yolk and discard the yolk. As long as you do not eat too many eggs, you do not really have to worry about the cholesterol in the yolk. Our body also produces its own cholesterol.

The yolk of an egg has the highest concentration of cholestoral. Eating only the white part of the egg is fine, many people do for health reasons.

Eat the whole egg, don t believe the hipe that because it contains cholesterol it is bad for you. Cholesterol plays a very important role in your body, from building testosterone to helping you loose fat (yes Fat). There is no scientific corellation between high collesterol and eating whole eggs. I eat about 12 eggs a week, 3 every other day, sometimes 4 a day and my cholesterol is just fine, normal to low. So eat the whole egg and stop believing all the bullshit.

egg whites are the healthy part of the egg to eat, the yolk is where most of the cholesterol is...you'll notice a lot of restaurants are now offering egg white omelets :P
