It's an absolute toss up!!

At this point, LSU controls its own destiny. If it wins the remainder of its games, it will be the number one team in the BCS.

Oregon has one big problem in its quest to make the BCS game. Even if it wins the remainder of its games, its computer ranking will decline as it does not have any strong opponents left. That leaves it vulnerable to being passed by whomever wins the Big 12 Championship.

Oklahoma probably is in the best position of the three contenders from the Big 12. If Missouri and Kansas both win next week and Oklahoma beats Texas Tech and Oklahoma State, it will be impossible for Oregon to stay ahead of an Oklahoma team that wins the Big 12 Championship and difficult to stay ahead of either Missouri or Kansas.

Not knowing how far Ohio State will fall in the human polls (and I am guessing number 5), it will take a big hit in the computer polls this week and playing Michigan next week will not help. Ohio State needs to beat Michigan and get some help from Oregon State and the winner of the SEC East.

West Virginia is in many ways similar to Ohio State and Oregon as far as their remaining games are concerned. Each game left is a chance to be upset and, even with a win, their computer ranking will take a hit.

At this point, my prediction is LSU vs. Oregon in the BCS title game with the real title game featuring Kansas vs. Hawaii in a match of the last two unbeaten teams in college football.

ITs gonna be LSU and Oregon, but Oklahoma has a legi case if they win the big12. I really think West Virginia should be getting some consideration too because an Oregon Vs. West va Natl Title game would be some good football with Slaton and White against Dixon and Jon Stewart. Whoever wins the big 12 definitley has a shot, but I don't see Oregon or LSU losing again.

toss up is correct.

Tennessee or Georgia could show up and beat LSU in the championship...Georgia has the better shot of doing so, but Tennessee has the better shot of getting the chance to do so..

Oregon should win out, but they do have a rejuvenated Arizona team and their in-state rivals Oregon State to deal with...They should win out, but not guaranteed.

Kansas could lose to Missouri, beat Missouri and lose to OU, beat Missouri and OU....if they do the last one, how can you keep them out of the title game? you can't.

Oklahoma could go down and lay another road egg at Texas Tech, or let their guard down against Oklahoma State at home...so no guarantee they make it. However, if they get to the title game and beat an unbeaten Kansas team...how can they not get the nod over Oregon...assuming LSU is going.

Then again, what if LSU loses its championship game, Kansas loses to Missouri, then Missouri beats OU. Oregon loses to Oregon State. West Virginia loses to Cinnci or Uconn. Arizona State loses to USC. Georgia somehow wins the SEC championship. Hawaii wins out..

We would be left with what?

Missouri v. Georgia? but what about 1 loss Ohio State..if they beat Michigan....hmmm..or what about undefeated Hawaii. or one loss Kansas...

The nails in the coffin of the non-playoff BCS just keep getting hammered in, one year at a time.

Anything is possible at this point.

I think that it will definitely be and should be Oregon. The other team will be either LSU or the winner of the Big 12. To Hawaii, Kansas and Ohio State, gaudy records mean nothing if you don't play and defeat some legitimate opposition along the way. Look at tomorrow's Top 25 and see how many teams on that list have played and lost to one of the three pretenders.

As long as LSU wins the SEC and Oregon wins the Civil War vs Oregon State it should be:

Oregon vs LSU

Ducks offense can't be stopped unless they have to play an NFL team.

right now, i have oregon and kansas...i know it's crazy, but that's just been the definition of the season this year in college football, anything reasonable that seems like it should happen just hasn't happened

i think tennessee will lose to kentucky, georgia will win out, and then beat lsu in the sec title game, which is how lsu will be eliminated from contention...again, it seems unlikely, but everything about college football this year has defied logic

LSU vs Kansas or Oregon.

Not really. LSU more than likely will not lose another game and Oregon has no one left to play, really. It'll be those two, in my opinion.
