They lost to Portland because Harris didn't play. They lost to Atlanta because Josh Howard wasn't there and Devin Harris got injured. Is Barea not stepping up very well? How about the importance of Devean George and Erick Dampier? Are they that important?

probably not that important. its not like he is a star or anything. he is just a fast little guy who can hit an occasional jumper. he isnt great from distance, he can drive and thats about the only way he scores. the mavs just had an off night, it happens, the blazers got lucky.

i'm hoping the mavs will put less emphasis on the regular season. obviously, harris is our starting point guard so his development is crucial. he's certainly bulked up some.

dampier could be a great spare part, albeit an expensive one. i think this team needs to play it cool and set up for a playoff run. i love our nucleus but we are in such a tough conference.

lets face the facts, we blew our chance when we choked it away against the heat. that was our year to win it and we just didnt get her done....now we are back in the fire with duncan and stoudamire and nash and......all of the wild wild west.
