Would you quietly give the robber his money? or attack?

For the Curious : I would let him grab the cash and if he points the weapon to my head i would have no choice but to use the Golf Bat and swing Tiger Woods status =]

What would you do? (cant believe yahoo wanted me to post this in jokes and riddles =] )

I'd give them the money.

No point in getting killed over a few bucks.

But if it was a cracked-out whacko, I'd have no choice but to grab the gun. You can never tell about those guys.

You might have a case. Certainly it sounds like the manager was negligent in providing you with proper safety and emergency training. The fact that he was a coward and hid, while reprehensible, is not necesarily illegal. Is the manager just a hired guy, or does he have ownership in the company? If he's just a hired guy, chances are the company will just fire him when they get wind of a possible suit, and most of the merit to your case would go out the window as it will look like they took appropriate action. They will probably have some documents showing what training he was supposed to provide, thus shifting most of the guilt onto him. I doubt you can sue him personally under those circumstances. A good attorney should be able to meet with you for free for an hour to discuss and see what merit your case has. I would recommend that, and taking all your co-workers with you who were working during the robbery.

Actually, this happened to me, I had a shotgun put to my back and my friend had one pointed at his head. My first instinct was to attempt to grab the gun but then I saw my friend and figured i should just chill out. Well they ran me up the stairs to the poker game I was at and three of the robbers got away with around $40,000 from the other 40 or so people that were there. Nobody was hurt, my friend was very distraught. I was just happy all went well and no one got hurt, including me.

Feel out the situation; and go with gut instinct.... maybe.
either hand it over, or fight back, it depends.
But idk, i'm kind of impulsive, i tend to act before i think. So i may be inclined to fight back as i'll probably get shot anyway, especially since i saw his face/eyes and heard his voice etc.
Though idk, i've had a knife pulled on me twice, but didn't fight back. Just because i was in shock and i didnt have time to feel out the situation as it all happened too fast. But i saw his eyes and so on. Though, the one time, i did tell the guy to phuck off at first, as it threw me for a loop for a second. I didn't think he was serious; even the few seconds after i saw the knife it didn't process right away.
Though, anymore i'd probably fight back; catch me on an off day, and there's no telling what i may do if you pull a gun on me, as seriously, i dont care if i live or die, so whatever. ♥

Most people that have never been in that situation talk all kinds of tough, but when it came down to it, would really do nothing at all. I've been through it already and have nothing left to lose lol, and even so, it would depend on the situation.

I'm probably going to get shot,
because he is going to be so pissed
off that I don't have any money on me,
he's just going to shoot me for good measure.
While he's ranting about this,
I'll probably be peeing or pooping in my pants,
hoping like hell that I don't accidently fart on this guy.
Which by the way, after you have a gastric by pass,
keeping a fart under control is literally
out of the question.
So if I fart and the smell doesn't kill him first,
he is probably just going to blow my silly @ss away.
= )

You should throw your purse/money/wallet to the side and then run like hell. The robber will likely go for the goods and you can make an escape. Thats what they say anyway. I would probably just try and flirt my way out of it. ;)

I don't think anyone knows what they'd do until they've actually been in that situation. I like to think I'd haul off and beat the living bejesus outta the guy, but I'd prolly ***** out & hand him my wallet, esp if there wasn't much in it.

Kick him right between the legs, pull the gun off him and kick both shins, hard, call the police and hold him hostage at gunpoint... hehehe he's going to shoot you anyway if it's heaps of money.

Give the robber what is requested... I have kids and don't want a fight or to end up dead.
