My set was a little over 4000.00, it would have been far more if he would have went to one of the jewelry shops in the mall. But he always goes to a whole seller that makes custom jewelry. In total it is 5 crts. I wont wear it though, I am always worried about someone trying to mug me for it. My dad even told me to be careful or someone would knock me up side the head and cut my finger off to get it! I always wear some kind of ring on that finger but not my wedding set unless we are going out some where.

Tradition says 2 months of salary but it's crazy. It shouldn't be the rule. A very big diamond may even look bad. As some say here, and I agree, you can't put a price on love. All that count is the choice.

We paid $800 for matching bands ( $400 each )and my engagement was $900. My engagement ring is worth $1800 and our bands together is worth $1500. We have white gold. My suggestion is to find some like ours where it's worth more than you paid for it. The jewelry factory guarantees the value to double. Just a hint
Good luck :)

I actually bought my own engagement ring. LOL yes thats bad I know, but I wanted a ring. He gave me his class ring as an engagement ring and I wanted my own. But after being married for 3 years, he bought me a 13K wedding ring. So i guess waiting and complaining all the time worked out

A little less than $100. We both felt it made more sense to save money for the actual wedding and wedding ring. I am happy with it even if it didn't cost a ton of money. It's beautiful and simple. Like someone else said, it's the thought that really matters.

I gave her a very economic but completely heartfelt Claddagh ring, bought in Ireland (I was there and very much wanted not to be, and back with her).
She wears that, and the wedding band, and that's all the jewelry she ever has worn. One more reason I love her so -- no interest in bling or glitz.

The price realy didnt matter, but my inital ring was 600.00 That he got at 50% off so realy only paid 300.00
Although when we announced are engagement i was givin another ring wich will always be priceless as it was his granny's who is 93 yrs old.
The rings have no monitary value to me, now if you want to count emotional and devotional value... they are priceless.

ZAR 3000. My wedding ring cost in total ZAR 10 000. But it's not the price of the ring that matters at all! It's the price of the love!
Love should be priceless!
