As you grow older, some best friends become associates, some associates become best friends. People naturally come together and grow apart over time. The bible says there's a time and season for everything, this goes for peopl as well. Some are in your life only for a season, others for a lifetime. Also, it depends on you. If you have trust issues, then how can you feel close to anyone. Maybe you should take time to evaluate yourself, your wants, and needs. Then take some time and do something fun or volunteer to take your mind off of yourself for a bit of time.
Also, we are naturaly attracted to those opposite us to complement whats missing in the other and balance us out. Its like Hydrogen and oxygen, you can't have water without both. So, dont spend so much time focusing on the diiferences, unless there is negativity coming from the other person(s) thats affecting you.
Know what you want by taking time to evaluate and know yourself. Then go and do something to take your mind off of things. You'll be fine. Anytime one person leaves your life another enters. Life is a well balanced circle. Just let things flow as they are for now. Have a blessed day.

Sometimes, you just have to depend on yourself. I had a best friend of 10 years and the thing about best friends is, you promise to be together forever. Silly, right? Anyway, my best friend moved to Switzerland with her boyfriend. Nothing between us has changed but the distance does make a difference. I know, the friendship is fading away as she has moved on in life and has other things to do. I miss her sometimes and it hurts. So, I listen to Welcome to my Life a lot and Numb. XD

Your best friends should not be clones of you. Many people say we seek in others the parts we are missing in ourselves. So, don't worry if your friends are different. (just appreciate each other and tolerate the differences you don't like)
BF will change as you move through different stages of your life. You can't expect the person you hung out with in h.s. will necessarily even know you, let alone be your bf, when you are 33.

This is true. Never tell anyone everything. Some things are only to be in yourself.
Who knows, you might not be best friends one day and they will go and tell everyone your secrets.
I have best friends, but I would not trust them with a lot of things. People are untrustworthy.

I TRUST my best friend. But sometimes I feel like she is mean to me. I feel like she isn't a good friend to me like I am to her. I am afraid to say something because I'm afraid it will ruin our friendship. But eventually I finally brought up my concerns. Not in an accusing way like "You've been making me feel bad" but in a " I feel like I've been having some bad feelings around you"
Just be calm with them. And tell them. If they are REALLY your friends they will understand and listen to you. If you feel like that won't work maybe try branching out some more and making new friends by like joining clubs etc.

I would trust my best friends with my life. Our bond is really close and there are no lies. I had one best friend that I told EVERYTHING to, and it was the best to actually have someone that would listen and not lie. We even made this thing up where we said "Shake on all of those things" Referring to: No lying, no crossings count, etc. And then we absolutely couldn't lie.

personally i do trust my best friends.....based on what your saying, I want to ask why you feel you keep secrets from them most of the time.....is it because you're afraid of their reactions? do you think they will tell other people? I feel like with your best friends you should be able to tell them secrets (of course you don't have to share everything), and you should feel comfortable telling them what you do share...try telling them a small secret perhaps and gauge their reactions

im going threw the same thing as you..it seems like you should be my bestfriend lol..your question sums up everything that i feel..
but ive come to the conclusion that maybe they arent ment to be bestfriends maybe they are just people you like talking to and being around but not connecting on a personal level..
i understand u completely...sometimes i feel like the only person i have in the world is me..im the only person who understands what i go through...not even family..because people are so judgemental sometimes..either that or they dont listen or care like you want them to..like a bestfriend should..

I have this best friend whom I tell every secret I have. She excitedly listens everytime I talk and she always promises to never tell it to anyone. But one time all of my classmates we're laughing at me as if they've found something..something they should'nt know.I asked her if she told anyone about it..she bursted out laughing while apologizing.I got mad at her because I can see that she was not really sorry.Since then I never told any secrets to her.
I think we can never trust anyone right know but ourselves and especially God.But if you think that you can really trust your best friend then why not try, right?^^,
