What about you? Do you feel goody goody or normal? It's okay to be a virgin at 16.

In our culture however being a virgin is considered "good to get" due to various cultural biases, and everyone has these fantasies about getting virgins. Most guys buy into this hype, and think that girls who sleep around are dirty and stuff, but at the same time hate "prudes that won't put out at all." I personally think theres nothing at all wrong with getting laid when you're 16, it's just that once you start (if you do it for bad reason like wanting to fit in or feeling unhappy), then you can end up going crazy with it, and getting knocked up by sleazy guys every weekend at a party.
I also know a lot of girls who had horrid stoires about losing their virginity to a guy who didnt' care about them, and immediately plunged in really hard all the way (since that feels better for the guy if you're super tight, the thrill of ripping it wide open). This happens to hurt a lot for the girl, so if you want to get laid, try to make sure you find someone nice that won't do that to you. It tends to happen a lot...

My uncle has had sex with well over 1000 different women (seriously), and studied a lot of eastern sexual practices. I get most sex advice from him.
His opinion was "I don't get what the obessesion with virgins is, every time I've had sex with them, it was a frigid experience because their body wasn't very open."
Also, while he believes being a puritan and all that stuff is bad, he made the observation that people who lost their virginity after they were 18 tended to get more (and better) sex later on, and be more sexually healthy.

I think you need to stop worrying about such things, you are far too young to be thinking about sex at your age. Don't let some horny young punk try talking you into having sex with him just so he can bragg that he had a virgin. Your virginity is a gift from God, to be given to the man you marry when you're of age and until that time don't worry about your friends. If they want to ruin their lives well don't you follow suit.

It's a VERY good thing. I very much respect a girl who is a virgin. I'm 17, and I'm hoping my future wife will save herself, like myself. Although I realize the odds of finding a virgin at the age of marriage is very slim.

You should be proud of yourself for having your virginity. Because once it's gone, there's no getting it back.

There is nothing wrong with virginity. Stay the way you are for as long as you wish.

you don't need public opinion to tell you when you are ready. please hang on to your youth and know that as you grow up your head catches up with the rest of your body...and sex is a much better experience then, and you won't begin with an immature initial impression. You will know when you are ready.

Yes, only because it makes us feel special for being the first one in your life to share that experience with you. Telling us you had sex with your previous bf doesn't make us feel any better.
