You may have trouble with this, because there are some bodies of research that come to the conclusion that mental attitude has little or no bearing on cancer outcomes. See below for article links.

It's a proven fact that a persons mental attitude has direct impact on overall health. People with cancer generally respond better to treatments and live longer when 1) they have a positive attitude 2) trust their doctors 3) do research to get as much information as possible...it's empowering 4) to develop the attitude that cancer is weaker than human spirit 5) to have faith 6) exercise...especially walking. 6) environment...flowers, pets, friends/family, music, etc can make the persons environment more pleasant and affect the attitude in a positive way

Mental attitude does affect cancer. As silly as it might sound, people that focus positive thoughts about health can have miraculous cases of remission. You can even find cases here on Yahoo answers. They always credit Jesus and religion to their miraculous recovery.

I have also noticed when people become really depressed (due to the death of a loved one or whatever) you sometimes see them also die shortly thereafter.

A positive attitude towards treatment of cancer should yield more successful results. After all, placebos have been proven to work in different test studies. You are also anoptimistic and determined individual when you have a positive mental attitude. The power of the human will is pretty amazing.

Anxiety causes changes in diet.

Anxiety causes the production of toxic biochemicals.

Depression causes unconscious self-destructive behavior.like breathing in diesel fumes or bathing in polluted streams or going to sleep while sunbathing, etc.
