In order to get any marriage registered which has been solemnized according to the religious form, you can get such registration done in one day itself & get the marriage certificate which will be legal & valid any where in the world. Section 8 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 provides for registration of any Hindu Marriage preformed between two Hindus by the Marriage Registrar who on the basis of proof of marriage, age & addresses of the parties to such marriage & witnesses to such marriage register such marriage & issue such a marriage certificate. In case you want to marry before the Marriage officer under the Special Marriage Act, 1954 which is also called court marriage, you have to first give at least one month notice (MANDATORY) for such marriage & only after the expiry of this notice period you can marry before the marriage officer who then issue the marriage certificate which too is legal & valid marriage certificate any where in the world. As you state you want this whole marriage be done , the marriage registered & certificate issued within a week then best is to marry according to Hindu form of marriage if both of you are Hindu by religion, register the marriage & get the marriage certificate from the marriage registrar under the Hindu Marriage Act,1955. This is a brief regarding getting marriage certificate, but some differences exist in the requirements regarding registration of such marriages which depends on where you live & get married i.e. State/district in India. The issuance of marriage cetificate takes less than a week if you are holding a valid proof for the marriage. You dont have to go to the court for that. You can get it done at the Corporation/Muncipality / Village office where you got married.
