Like the gay community needs more to stress about. We are PEOPLE and if we have to be discriminated against for loving someone then this is a world I do not want to live in. This makes me think back to a time where we could to the same for people with different colored skin, now that is seen as an abomination, and is frowned upon, and sometimes legal action is taken. Discrimination is never the way, regardless of the person.

Are you talking about those idiots from that church out in KANSAS???? I heard an interview with their leader the other day while they were protesting somewhere and I couldn't BELIEVE the crap flowing out of his mouth----how TOTALLY PREJUDICED and BIGGOTED those people are.... No law will EVER pass like that because TOO many SANE people believe that gay people have their rights to live the way they want.......just think of all the discrimination lawsuits there would be if the government of the USA ever DID listen to that loonatic group.... !!!!!

I am far from pro-gay rights but on the same token, I'm in a inter-racial relationship and 50yrs ago, that was looked at in the same way. So for me to be against that would almost make me a hypocrite, however at least I am in love with a woman. If two gay guys were showing PDA in a restaurant, then yes they should be kicked out or if two gay guys who worked together were in a relationship and not able to keep it professional at work, then yes they should be fired but otherwise, that law is bogus.

I never heard of such a thing! I am very uncomfortable when people who are gay flaunt their lifestyle in my presence or in the workplace. I don't care what excuses people want to make...keep it to yourself. I don't feel that firing them or kicking them out of anywhere is the answer EVER!

I totally disagree with this because I'm in a lesbian relationship and me and my gf like to go out to public places. But we don't make out in front of people or do things to make people uncomfortable on purpose. We hold hands but its just normal for us to do that. We don't do a lot of PDA. Not because of what other people think, we just choose not to. I think people are just trying to pass this law to make homosexuals a lower people on the totem pole. People do crazy things when it doesn't agree with there lifestyles.

not sure why??? Of course people don't like seeing women feed their children in public either. People are people no matter what their sexuality is. If anyone is doing something to get fired then fire them, but not because of who they sleep with.

Of course people shouldn't be fired/thrown out of restaurants for being gay! that's discrimination.
i guess that shocks me, cuz i'm from canada, where it's legal for them to get married.

there is no such law, and in fact, there is a bill that is in the works of doing just the opposite, the ENDA (employment non-discrimination act). on thursday, 11-8-07, the house of rep's. passed the ENDA, which prevents any gay/lesbian/bisexual identifying person from beind offed from a job just because of their sexual orientation. president retard, i mean bush, has declared that he would veto that bill, but we'll see what happens. but then again, your statement is what can happen if this bill disappears (or if it isn't already in effect, what can happen right now even).

Of course not, and how could they tell I was gay unless I told them. You can't tell a person's religion just by looking at them. It would be similar to asking someone to leave because of race, gender, etc. It is ridiculous to be sure.
