Well i am not that great in this area but i hear my husband yell all the time at his 360 cause he is lagging but i dont think you need to buy anything because lagging is part of the system it could just be your computer picking up some terrible signals from outside and it causes it to lag so its all with the electronicall eror. Cause i am sure that if my husband could buy something for the big time lag he gets on his 360 he would have already done that LOL

RAM helps the most with lag '' But no matter how much RAM you have, if your processor sux, it will "bottle neck" and the RAM will become useless. But if you have a good processor and enough RAM but your video card sux, then you will have a fast computer that cannot do a whole lot "visually" ( ex. multiplayer online games ) But if all three of those are good and you have a dial-up internet connection then you will have a great computer that is sadly diminished to nothing because Dial-Up is just asking for LAG. And lastly, if all four ... your internet, video card, RAM, and processor are no good ... Then duh, you need a new computer!

All good answers concerning Ram, Graphics Cards, Memory, Computer Speed, etc., etc., etc., but even a slower and older computer, without all the good stuff, will perform decently if you have a high speed internet connection. 256k to 1.2 mil for DSL or other options (depending on your area code) does wonders for any gamer seeking to improve the dreaded lag.
I have played Anarchy Online, EQ, EQ 2, World of Warcraft, over the past 5 years or so, starting out with a crappy computer and 56k dialup, but when I got a decent gaming computer and the DSL highspeed connection, all was and is well in MMORPG land. All the other information concerning improving your gaming machine will further enhance your performance, all good advice. :)

Lots of memory is a good start. Also get a fast graphics card that has lots of its own on-board memory and a fast processor on the card.
