Bonnie Buckingham used the name of Bonnie Guitar to draw attention to the fact that she played guitar. She was a session guitarist in the mid-1950s. She also founded the Dolphin/Dolton record label and played guitar on several recordings by The Fleetwoods (No, it's not Fleetwood Mac. This was a vocal trio of two young women and a man and they were most popular in the late 1950s).

Dark Moon was recorded by both Bonnie Guitar and Gale Storm. I think the year was 1957. It was composed by Ned Miller and was in the Top 10 hits of the year, but don't think it made #1.
