Hi, I got a D- one semester in Alg. 2 with Trig my sophmore year. It was an anomaly, because I was having some personal problems that semester. However, most of my other grades are really good. My cumulative GPA is 3.6 unweighted for 10th and 11th, and my SAT score is a 2010 with a perfect score in critical reading. I also participated in the youth summer program at Stanford where I took a class the summer before junior year.

Is there any way I can get into Stanford? How about any UCs?

I'm a senior so it's a little too late to retake that semester.

Edit:

Yes, I've taken Honors and AP classes.

I don't think that one class will hurt you, but Stanford is extremely difficult to get into, and a 3.6 and a 2010 is not likely to get you in. I know of someone with a 2400 on the SAT and a 4.0 who did not get in.

Stanford might be a stretch, but the SAT score is good for UC berkeley and UCLA. However you better have took a lot of AP's or honors classes. But don't worry too much, those are pretty good stats.

All it rather is left to do is to advance that SAT score. by utilising a lot. different than your mediocre score, i could say that your credentials are superb. you have no longer merely been lively, you have had management roles. So i did no longer situation to envision verbatim the bite you coated below your resume. appeared like some form of Myspace or eHarmony blurb. ...How did you have the money for human beings to human beings while you're "low-income"? exciting. And as "no u" so frankly positioned it, being black is a plus. As for why the SATs seem important....I have no clue. that's a dumb attempt.
