I heard it on the TV, but I was in the other room, so I missed it. I dont know if it was a movie or a tv show, but it was about someone who was going to be put under for surgery or a procedure and he went seemingly under...but he could still think and feel everything....freaky right? well does anyone know what it is Im talking about? What is it? thanks.
also...can this really happen?

Yeah, the other answer is right, but.. check out the series of movies they made from Stephen King's Nightmare's and Dreamscapes for another one that is similar.. (already on DVD.. it's on the dvd with another story about a town full of dead musicians).. I remember reading the story and being unnerved.. but watching it was unique.. It's about a guy who is traveling and gets bitten by a.. spider I think.. but it might have been a snake.. he goes into a paralysis where people think he's dead... but he is fully aware of everything going on while they start an autopsy.
And actually yes.. I remember a story on yahoo news not that long ago .. guy woke up during an autopsy that was being done in Venezuela

The movie's name is Awake and it stars Hayden Christensen.
It comes out on the 30th
