Does anyone know if it's possible to quit one's job and become a full time student?
I'm working full time and going to college part time, but if I keep it up at this pace, It will take me the same amount of time to get my bachelors, that it takes someone to go through become a doctor.
What I would like is to be able to become a full time student and dedicate myself to nothing but my studies.
Does anyone know of a way or have any advice on how to become a full time student and still get by with things like rent and food?

I'm 24, and my parents are too poor to afford paying my way through college.

You can do what most students do, which is to take out loans.

Can you make it as a full-time student with a part-time job? That is how I made it through. Look for every way you can cut expenses to make it work. You mention that your parents can't send you to school; can they provide you a place to live an food? I spent most of my time in college living at home. It's not the glorious college experience of a cramped dorm room, but quiet neighbors and a lot less expensive.

The other route is financial aid. Apply for any grant or scholarship you can. Talk with the financial aid office; friends there can make a huge difference for you. Just try not to take out too much in loans. I hate to see new grads with mountains in debt. That first job probably isn't going to put you in the lifestyles of the rich and famous. It's hard enough to pay for everything on an entry-level salary without having a lot of loans to repay.
