so lately i hear screams that sound like a baby crying,,,,,,freaky!!! so than im confused does it need help? or its happy? or is just sad? anything i can do? or just leave it...alone...my fam.has been hearing it for like a week now...(theres more than one)..

Are you talking about ur cat or just noises ur hearing outside? If its definately a cat, then it probably in heat or hurt. Either way, if it continues take it to the vet. If your hearing it outside, it could be fishers. They make horrible noises that sound like an old lady or a baby screaming like hell. We have them here and they can be vicious so be careful. If this is not your pet cat you will do well to leave it alone. They bite deep and they scratch. I caught a cat on a farm that was not a pet when I was a boy. I will never forget when the cat let go I never caught another one.

Well...is is just outside, or is it trapped somewhere.
Could be they are mating...when cats mate they scream and growl...you can hear them all over the neighborhood.
If its hurt or trapped it could be screaming...find it..if its on top of another cat whoa...leave it alone. If its hurt or trapped help it!!

Do you have a Siamese, or ANY female cat. it sounds as if you have a female cat who is going into or is in heat. Please keep her inside and away from male cats, and get her spayed as soon as she's out of heat (and not looking pregnant ... look at her teats, if they're swollen, she could be pregnant ... take her to a vet to be sure).
