Forgiving is easy over time, but there are some things that you never forget.

It is way harder to forget. You don't just forgive someone one time - you have to keep on forgiving until you get over the thing that caused you to have to forgive. In fact you should never forget an injustice against you.

I think it is easier to forgive a person for something that they have done, however, I know from experience it is harder to forget. No matter what the memories will always be there.

It is by far harder to forget! To forgive takes time, but to forget something is hard for the brain to do since one of its jobs is to remember things! If we could only have better say on what we would like to forget!! What was I saying? I forgot! Oh well please forgive me!!

forgetting is definetly the hardest thing to do because your dealing with your mind replaying that specific thing over and over again. It's easy to understand that someone can love you and make a mistake by hurting you. It's not easy to battle your mind with this logic when your emotions are whacked out from all the pain it caused. Forgetting Is damn near impossible but in time the forgiveness does allow you to give your heart back to that person for another try.

Forgiving can sometimes be very difficult to do depending on the level of hurt you have experienced. However, if you have gone through something extremely hurtful there will never be any forgetting. You just learn to cope, trust again and move on but you can't take away something that has happened. Unless of course you get hit on the head and suffer from amnesia. LOL

for me the harder is to forget, forgiving does not necessarily mean that you are telling that other person it is okay for what they did, but saying you understand that they made a mistake. unfortunately if you forget you won't see the situation coming again if it were to happen a second time.

Forgiveness is something you do for yourself. It enables you to move on. Forgetting is something you don't do, also for yourself. Remembering keeps you from getting into the same scrape again. Neither is difficult, and neither is easy. The hard part is doing either of them for the right reason. The part that is left out is responsibility. If forgiveness absolves the person from his or her responsibility, then it is not forgiveness. It is self-victimization.

It's much harder to forget. I think we are intended to remember offenses so that we won't allow the same things to happen to us over and over. It's the old "live and learn" thing. Or "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." It's when bad things happen that we learn life lessons many times. I try to forgive but I let God do the forgetting.
