It depends on the size and variety of your party. When i say this i mean how many and who your going with. If your going with small children, teenagers, thrill-seekers and adults it will take alot longer than if your just a thrill-seeker.
Generally i'd say it's about one day per park but if you have children with you it may take longer especially for Magic Kingdom and Animal kingdom. If you have more adults then it may take more than a day for epcot. Although i'd say MGM (soon to become Hollywood studios) won't really take longer than one day, unless you want to go on things several times or see the night show (Fantasmic).

Also you may or may not be going to Universal studios and Islands of adventure. I'd probably give three days for both of these parks. Teens / thrill seekers could probably spend almost two days in Islands of adventure but anyone could easily spend one full day there. Universal studios is probably a little more tame but will definately need one day. Kids will also like this park and when ques get big this could take more than one day.

So all in all, i'd give 5 days for Disney world (an extra day for revisiting a park you didn't quite finish or a rest day) also another 2 days for the 2 water parks Blizzard beach and Typhoon lagoon. Then if your going to universal studios 3 days there.

Disney Theme Parks - 5 Days
Disney Theme Parks & Water parks - 7 days
Disney Theme Parks & Water parks & Universal - 10 days

I find two weeks is the perfect amount of time for just the theme parks because you get a couple of days rest, time to revisit parks you havn't finished or want to see more of. Also maybe to visit other parks such as Busch gardens, Seaworld etc.

I suppose you could squeeze it into 10 days but thats not allowing things such as bad weather and revisitng parks also this could make it seem more of a military operation than a vacation.

Have a great time

We took a family of 5 (2 adults, 9, 11, & 14) stayed 9 days (arriving at 6:00 am and leaving at 8:30 pm) and were able to see almost everything. We only did one water park, & didn't do the minature golf, but we were able to do Disney Quest in downtown Disney. MGM only takes a day to see, as long as you use Fast Pass for the big rides/Indiana Jones. Animal Kingdom only takes a day, but it is a FULL day, using early entry & Fast Pass. The Magic Kingdom takes 2 days (even with Fast Pass), Epcot takes at LEAST 2 1/2 days to experience everything (and using Fast Pass). Downtown Disney (including Disney Quest) is a full day (or several evenings), plan on most of a day to visit 1 water park, 2 for both. With 9 full days, we did not feel rushed, were able to go back to the hotels and rest mid day (as long as you stay on property). We did a 7 day trip at Christmas time a year later, and felt rushed, did not get a water park or Disney Quest in, and did not get to see everything. Given, it was more crowded, but the time just seemed too short.

We have spent many days at Disney World and have yet to see it all. This is my best guess:

Magic Kingdom: five days
Epcot: two and a half days
MGM: three and a half days
Animal Kingdom: two days
Downtown Disney: one day and a night
Disney Quest: half day
Blizzard Beach: day
Typhoon Lagoon: day
Wide World of Sports:day
Board walk: half day
Discovery Cove: day
All the nice hotels, with all the great dinning: at two table meals a day: two weeks
The dinner shows: four nights

I am sure I am leaving something out. I think part of the plan is that you never do it all, one more reason to return.

To see every show & parade & fireworks and to ride every ride? Probably 2 days per park (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom & Disney-MGM Studios). Then there are the water parks and Downtown Disney (if you can afford it, go see the Cirque du Soleil show - - it's wonderful!). If you stay on property, there's also the pools, mini-golf, etc.
I love WDW, but after about 5 days I'm about Disney'ed out.

1 day for every park of your interest. i rec. seeing them all.
also, dont even think of going without first reading and understanding the best guide ever about WDW="The Unofficial Guide to Disney World." Well worth its weight in gold and it has touring plans that will eliminate all the wrong turns and wasted time.
Remember to enjoy yourself, smile and take it all in. Remember too that Disney World is not just a vacation, its a mission. Oh yeah and ride Dumbo early.
Going back in August and cant wait!

do you want to see everything? do you want to see every show, get on every rides, see every parade and every fire works show? then you will probably need about two days per park. there are four parks so that is about 8 days. now this is a general rule. you might be able to finish animal kingdom and Disney MGM Studios in one day and you might need to use those extra days for Epcot and the Magic Kingdom. this is taking into consideration that you will get to the park when it opens and staying until it closes.

this is just a general rule of thumb. weather, time of year and size of crowds will affect how much of the park you will be able to see. because of weather some rides might be closed and it may make it difficult for you to get from ride to ride. the time of year will affect how late the parks are open although Epcot has an almost set schedule of 9am-9pm. and last the crowd size will also affect how quickly you can get from ride to ride (wait time to get on, trying to get from one ride to another.

my suggestion, pick your favorite things, do those first and then fill the rest of the time trying to see everything esle. that way if you miss something, it will not be one of the things you were looking forward to seeing.

i went this past year to disney world and i stayed a week and i didnt get to see everything. i recromend that you stay for 2 week so that you have time to visit the amusment parks and water parks, have fun at your hotel, have time to eat (when i went we had to skip a few meals), go to places outside the park, and go to the park you loved the most. if you go to disney world have a lot of fun. i no i did. make sure u go on mission space, the rock n' roller coaster, and the haunted mansion.

I have to say that after 7 times in the last 7 years going down there, I have still not saw everything. It would take at least a couple months to see everything that there is to do.

I went there on senior trip and stayed a week and still did not see all the different sections. Also, we stayed all day at specific places (Animal Kingdom, Epcot, etc.) and did not get to see everything in them. It would probably take about a week and a half or two weeks depending on what you were interested in seeing.
