Can someone draw this up with a scale ruler and then do the rectangles or do the square meters in the profile of the scaled area? The first is 13.5 by 6.5 by 9.1m, then the second is 10 by 8.1 by 10.6 by 5.4 by 17.1 by 3.4. Sorry the first question I did put in the same numbers but in a different order. Yes it is an irregular shape of a garden area I'd like the area worked out to get the exact area to by the right amount of weed matt.

The information you have provided is insufficient, because it's unclear what these areas look like. I guess you have some non-rectangular areas that have all sides at right angles. This means that you can divide the irregular area into rectangular regions, such that you can find the length and width of each region. Then you just add up the areas of the regions to get the total area. Sometimes it is easier to draw a large rectangle around the given area, and then subtract other rectangles from it, but the principal is the same.

Your question does not make any sense to me! It sounds as if you have an irregular shaped garden. Try to draw the shape on paper. Divide the shape into rectangles. Start in the centre and work outwards. You may have some small bits left over but that should not matter too much if you are trying to work out how much weed matt to buy. The area of each rectangle is length x breath so work them all out and add them up to get the total area. You may like to add on a bit for safety!
