movie title???

Question

please help i saw an extremely good movie and i dont know what the title is. heres the storyline, a kid was kidnapped by the government and got out. then they recaptured him as an adult to get information. now hes on the run with a girl? please help.( the man is a little crazy)

the only thing I can think of is firestarter.. the father was held by the government as a child because he had gifts.. but he escaped.. when his daughter started showing signs of her abilities they tried to get both of them... (since they needed the father to convince the girl to use her powers) .. but he wasn't "crazy" at all.. I can't think of much else..
