small percentage of black heritage to be referred to as black. This don`t seem fair. Pretty soon we are all going to be called black even though we look more like whites than we do blacks. What will we argue about then?

goodness...its the person themselves...I know a lot of mix ppl who can pass for white but yet they still say "i'm not white I just have a white mom/dad....I'm black"
to me...its the person choice to what they wanna be...btw it started with white ppl...they made the rule about if u have at least one drop of african/black blood then you're afican/black

Hard to say, I am a pretty high per cent American Indian, but everyone thinks I'm a white woman since I don't look Indian. European ancestors also part Gypsy. So in these ways I'm not white, but wouldn't be able to convince anyone. We're all humans, made by God, be proud of whatever you are, YOU know what your made up of as a person, the inside that matters. We're American Mutts, mixed breeds, hybrids, whatever.

It makes me mad that people are too often all too willing to dismiss their white heritages. I am half Indian and half white; when people casually refer to me as Indian, I correct them. My white blood is as valid and important part of me as my Indian blood.

For some reason, having minority blood makes you more interesting. I'm not sure why.
