Don't take castor oil. It will only make you sick. If you are trying to induce labor, just start doing a lot of walking. Not only has it been known to get things going, the exercise is a good way to be ready when it happens. You could also eat some spicy foods and indulge in sex. At 36 weeks though, I wouldn't be trying to induce unless your doctor says it's ok to be doing these things. Usually 36 weeks is considered full term, but some babies are still born with underdeveloped lungs.

Everone says Dont do it but midwives are still reccpomending it today. I was 37 weeks when I gave it a try and it was the worst thing I had ever tasted and as soon as it hit my stomach I got sicker than a dog and its even worse coming back up! Still makes me sick to think about it. I ddint try it again and about a week later I went into natural labor. Good Luck keeping it down if you do try it! Try to hold off another week though!

castor oil can cause severe cramps, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and possible bowel movements for the fetus, which can lead to infection from breathing in meconium. it works 50/50, but it is better to let nature take its course or your doctor take action before risking anything.
