Where would one spend a semester to get something surprising and different in the study of economics, at the college level? What foreign economics school or department is ahead in terms of future thinking?

I am not sure it is possible, but studying in China would be my choice. They seem to be running a successful growth strategy that I am not sure that any one in the west really understands.

I would go abroad to a European nation, nothing like culture to stimulate the mind.
