My comrades in arms always fill me with a sense of pride, whatever generation they belong to. I'm not ashamed of anything, but perhaps the folks who treat them poorly should be.

At one time these guys were highly respected for their incredible sacrifice of going to war but today I wonder what happened to good old-fashioned pride in our military forces.
I totally agree with you because they come back and are treated nothing like they deserve to be treated. After all, these guys are true heroes who put their lives on the line for our sakes!!!

I'm very proud of all the men and women that risk their lives to protect my freedoms, but it thoroughly disgusts me as to how rotten our ELECTED government is treating them, throwing our blood into deadly battles in some other sovereign nation, when said nation poses no direct threat, the government needs to quit sticking their noses into other countries' affairs and concentrate on fixing our problems as a nation, I understand there's need for protecting our interests overseas, but wasting our soldiers' lives in a war that was originally started by OUR government on the premise of a LIE, concocted by our own president and his loyal cronies.

I'm angry that they were sent to a war on false pretenses.
I resent the way many were treated by civilians and by the state. (my dad is a Vietnam vet)
I am proud of all of our service men and women.
