Unprotected sex in first 7 days of taking the pill?

I had unprotected sex a few times, each for about two minutes, in the first seven days of taking the pill. I supposedly ovulated (or was supposed to) on the 8th day, so is that enough time for the pill to prevent ovulation?

No. I heard that at the least you have to be on it two weeks before it is effective but it isn't the most effective until after one month.

You should use alternative contraception during the first months cycle of pills. you should have been told this during your doctors appointment.
