It is interesting that some of the people don't see a distinction between nationality, ethnicity, and race. They are not synonyms.
My race is White, my ethnicity is Irish, and my nationality is American.

My parents said I am 3/4 British, before that, German, white, and 1/4 Cherokee Indian. My wife is mostly Cuban, with a bit of Spain thrown in.
All of us originally came from Africa. So we are all the same.
