Just use this as a reference to a channel an r/c toy uses to communicate with its radio (the controller)
if you buy two toys make sure you get them with two different frequencies. simply put, each is a channel like a radio station. dont make them talk on the same channel or theyll both go forward when one radio says go forward etc.

There really isn't a difference as far as performance. This is primarily used to keep two identical model R/C's from crossing their signals and one remote driving two cars. On high end cars, they can be adjusted to almost any MHz for multi-car racing.
