Some interesting information about both songs. "Surfin' Bird" ripped off both "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow" and "Mama-Oom-Mow-Mow" by the Rivingtons. Even though the song was a hit, the group lost all rights to it because they used the other songs without permission. "Hey Little Cobra" was written by Carol Connors. She was the female half of the late 1950s group The Teddy Bears "To Know Him Is To Love Him" under her real name Annette Kleinbard. After that song was a hit, she changed her name because she got tired of being compared to Annette Funicello. She also co-wrote "Gonna Fly Now", which was the theme song to the movie "Rocky".
