Hehhe, they'll grow out of it. I guess it's just part of growing up. In a few years, it won't matter.
Just ignore it and keep being friends with the guy. I have many guy friends and i never had that many when i was younger, it changes as you grow. When you're younger people think that the only reason a guy and girl hang out together is because they like each other or are going out. Not true as you get older though.

Unfortunately, we don't grow out of it. People always assume that if I'm with a member of the opposite sex then I'm attracted to her.
However, the more you deny it the more people say it. The best approach I've found is to just get mean when people press the issue. I'll tell people we're just friends all day long, but when someone starts saying we're acting like we're together I shut them down quick. Act like you're insulted that people think you're petty enough to not be able to have a mature relationship with someone of the opposite sex. Then deliver the "death blow" tell them you're sorry that they can't tell the difference.
Mean and uncalled for? Sometimes.
Effective: always.
Just remember that the mean approach can get people mad at you, but really, do you want to hang out with people who are always making fun of you?

Why do you not want to like anyone? That's silly...lol....jk
Tell him that! Tell your friends to back off too. If you just want to be friends with somebody then what's stopping you? Don't let people decide what you want to do...Just say "Look I just wanna live my life right now with no worries and just be friends without being bugged about it too...!"
They can be friends without liking each other but you gotta remember it does come natural so it's bound to happen sooner than later...it's just life...it will happen...
Well I hope you two stay friends! Good Luck to you!

Because it's the way of life. It's almost rare when a guy and a girl are friends and one doesn't end up liking the other in the end..

Because people thrive on gossip, dear. I'm in that exact situation. Just ignore them and if they ask, just flat out say no. And if they keep bugging you, just tell them, "Why do you want to know? You jealous of me or something?" I don't know, I just through that last part in there! Haha! :)
Don't worry about it though, it's a really common thing.

It's hard enough when you're adults cause everyone has opinions but it's even harder when you're teens cause of the hormones and other people and all the stress.
