I think it's pretty sissy. Unless it's your wife or something more serious I think you seem weak when you do it.

Is there something wrong with drying? It all depends on a person's upbringing and the culture the person comes from. Still, it is stereotypical that men should not cry which only creates more problems for the guy because if he does not cry when he should he is seen as uncaring and is labeled with certain names---sissy. I can say that when a guy cries he is expressing the hurt he is carrying and sometimes that is the loss of a love one and at times of a girlfriend. Also, I feel that girls have a more freaking reaction when they see the guy cry because it is not "normal".

I don't think its sissy or anything, and the only reason that its not accepted is some sort of bizarre social thing. Other men who think its "sissy" probably have never experienced something emotionally troubling or fill themselves with alcohol or drugs or something like that.

Everyone should be free to express their emotions. That being said, there are appropriate ways and times to do that. For example: I was raised in an abusive family of lumberjacks. To have cried in that environment would have only earned me more abuse. To cry in the presence of my Therapist brings me understanding and compassion. This has nothing to do with being 'sissy' as men, as well as women, are subject to the full range of emotions and their expressions. There is no judgment to be passed on emotional expression insofar as it is a product of a non-rational process. As a psychologist, I have spent many hours clarifying these issues with male patients. Hopefully with some degree of success. Expressing your feelings is essential to good mental health.

I think it depends on the situation. There's nothing wrong with a man showing he has a heart. But you definitely don't want a man who cries over every little thing.Being a man I have no problem showing my sensitive side.I don't think that makes me any less of a man.But if I was one of those overly sensitive men,I think I'd have to slap myself.

Real men do cry. We all have emotions and we should be allowed to express them. If men weren't supposed to cry, then why the hell do they have lacrimal (tear) glands? I call it sensitivity, not being a sissy.

The only time its not sissy is if you lose someone you truly loved like family or if they are tears of joy.
