some of them think it makes them more of a man, to think homosexuality is wrong. i think if they are freinds with a gay person or dont act like they hate one then people will start to think they are gay. its so hard to understand why people have things against someone who cant help the way they are, they didnt choose to be gay , they were born that way. sometimes when someone isnt sure if they are or not they may act as though they hate homosexuals to try and make it seem as though they arent. another reason ive noticed is when theyve had a drunk or regretful gay sexual experience, they blame the other person and begin to hate themselves and what they are. some people arent allowed to be gay or dont want to be so if they have sex with someone who is they say its their fault, or they were raped and try and get the other person to be bashed or in trouble. some people who are a certain religion are brought up thinking its wrong and therefore hate homosexuals when they are older, and feel as though they arent right and its disgusting

because they are so confident that that is a "Christian u . s ." that they could't see the information. reality a million: Marriage predates Christianity through centuries, and is elementary to each and each and every lifestyle, Christian or no longer. reality 2: in spite of what fundamentalist churches declare, this isn't a Christian u . s ., nor changed into it ever meant as a Christian u . s .. no longer each and each and every of the Founding Fathers were Christian, many were Deists. One reason that many Jews come to the U. S. at the same time as the Nazis took administration of Germany changed into because we've continuously welcomed them, and certain their proper to worship as they please see you later as no regulations were being damaged contained in the technique. reality 3: Marriage contained in the united states isn't a non secular ceremony. at the same time as many human beings have non secular ceremonies, the marriage isn't valid till and till the workplace paintings is filed on the correct authorities workplace. you could flow down on your interior sight courthouse with 2 friends, stand in the front of a magistrate, and get his signature and also you're married in a lot of places, and none require a non secular ceremony. reality 4: the first modification delivers for the separation of church and state because the Founding Fathers talked about how badly issues went once you combine both. study the Protestant Revolution and the Jewish pogroms for extra on that. reality 5: those who say that gay marriage will weaken their marriage are ones whose marriages are none too sturdy. So really, no, there's no reason except bigotry and worry.

Personally .... ( and I write this from the perspective of a Hetrosexual married woman ) ... I believe it is because so many of those who react in such a manner .. are UNSURE of their OWN sexuality .. they fear it because they MIGHT like it .. and heaven forbid if they did that ( rolls eyes ) ..

MAYBE it is because the thought of it actually titilates them .. and they just don't know how to react .. so they react with fear and anger ......and in some cases Violence...

The thing is ... if a Lesbian hit on me ... I would find it just as irriating ( NO MORE SO ) than if a hetromale hit on me without invite...

I always have the right to say BUGGAR OFF I AM NOT INTERESTED ...but do I fear gay people .. Nope.. I am angry at gay people .. Nope.. and am I violent against gay people .. NOPE....

It's just SOME hetro's that carry on like pork chops.

It's because people just aren't used to it and it freaks them out. They don't think it's "Right".
In the bible somewhere, it says something about men and women are supposed to be together, and apparenty homosexuality is a sin.
It's mostly older people and like, 10 year olds that are against it, I find.

The people that are angry with the homosexuals are simply not comfortable with their own sexuality so it makes them nervous to see people who are and are proud of it.You might say it makes them nervous or something. In the Bible it says the only human/spirit that has the right to judge others is Jesus.

Xenophobia: Fear of what is different.

However, a lot of what people call homophobic is actually not a fear centered response. Oftentimes it's a moral response to the homosexual acts or lifestyle.

There's a difference between someone who is Xeno/Homophobic and someone who is against homosexuality because they find it morally wrong.

I have nothing against it yknw if thats what they want to be then so be it.
But I think most ppl judge because theyre not comfortable being in a society where its more than just bfs and gfs together but its guys going with guys and chicks going with chicks they think its strange and not normal but HEY whats normal in this world.
And they only fear what they dont understand.

Most of the ones I know like that are actually homosexuals themselves, and are sad to watch. One former neighbor in particular. He hated himself so much, all he does is go around causing trouble and has zero friends.

I wouldnt say that people hate them, its just people that are different, are different, and thats the way it is.

Same thing with race, you might not literally hate them, but you feel more comfortable around your own race....period.

Its reality, no hate toward people of those types though, if my son or daughter were gay id love them to death no matter what.

I believe they are intensely afraid that they will find out something about themselves that they do not want to know.
It like just because someone is gay they think because they like men then there is no reason that they wont like them. Its all about ignorance and terrible upbringing.
