If the check is written out to you, you'll need ID to cash it but not your guardian. Many 15 and 16 year olds get paychecks. I never had to have my mom come down to the bank to cash one.

If you don't have ID, you'll probably have to deposit it into your bank account if you have one. Otherwise, you'll probably have to your guardian go with you to her bank.

if you are 18 you can do it yourself; if under 18, you sign it and then ANYONE 18 years of age or older can cash it out for you by them signing it under your signature and taking it to a bank where they have an account.
