I believe it is a form of prostitution. At the very least, it's the ultimate form of selfishness, not to mention how SHALLOW one would have to be to want a marriage for that reason only. Really though, if you think about it, they're living in their own prison by marrying for money. No matter how many things they accumulate, they will never be truly happy and will spend their lives searching for that one object that will do it for them. They don't understand that it's their soul that's bankrupt and no amount of earthly money is going to change that!

Yes...very sick world indeed, especially when there are internet sites out there that promote gold diggers...like sugar daddy.com or whatever the f**k it is.... As a parent I know I will joke with my daughter and say things like..."I hope you marry a rich man", simply because kids are freakin expensive... but I would never imagine she would take that as a goal in life...it's nuts that some woman are without any morals and are all about the money. I have always said, from the time I was a teenager...that I would much rather be in love and broke, than in a loveless relationship and rich....

It's not like prostitution, prostitution involves multiple women. It's not that they are marrying for money, it's more like finding an able provider who can afford a wife and children.

It sounds to me like you lost your woman to someone with a better paycheck. Stopped crying over spilled milk if all she cares about is money your better off. I hear what you are saying but really look at Hollywood. Remember your judging right now so I think someone needs to do some repenting.

pssst this is the devil speaking STOP judging.

sometimes life's throws at us a life that only others may live, maybe this women lived in poverty all her young ife..and has no education or had a abuse young life and never seen any other way of life. ..

So many people marry for the right reason ...and they leave their partner broke...so maybe if you marry for the wrong reason it will end up right.

If you love money then you love the person that is giving it to you..it doesnt make it right, if the person who is giving it doesnt complain why should you

How can a man offer nothing but money in mariage? Isn't that what being a "john" is? It is up to the couple to decide what to base their marriage on and not the rest of the world. As far as judgement...That has yet to be seen.

let's see, in most cultures the whole point to marriage is to insure a "proper" bloodline, to unite families/tribes/countries, to insure the care and upbringing of children (hence money), the list goes on and on. the whole marrying for love is a modern practice that originated in the western world. there are still a great deal of countries that marry for "arranged" reasons such as status, money, genetics, ancestry, etc.

I do not believe it's a form of prostitution. They are not exchanging sex for money. She married him because she wants security, and quite frankly i do not blame them. Everyone is entitled to do what is best for them, and it's not for us to judge.
