I feel the same way, and I think my furry friends do too. We have 2 cats and a dog, and if anyone is getting a bit of love, the other 2 immediately come over for some loving as well. It's a bit difficult at times with only two hands and 3 of them to pet.
For some reason, if I'm in the bathroom, they feel that is the perfect time for me to be scratching all of them. If I manage to get in there and close the door before they get in, they scratch on the door and whimper. Of course they don't do this to my husband or sons.

I am exactly the same way with my two cats, Phantom and Pasha!
In fact, I don't want one to feel jealous if I talk about the other one, so, we came up with nicknames for them, P-Kitty 1 and P-Kitty 2.
My friends say I need mental help, lol. However, I know that I just love my cats so much.

i have 2 cats and know what you mean. I feel guilty if i go pat one and realise that the other hasnt had one so i go and find the other cat to pat him. Sounds a bit stupid really, but i love them both.

Well, I have 3 dogs, 1 cockatiel, 2 hamsters, 3 spiders, and 3 fish. I usually feel bad when the dogs are around, and I pet one, and not the other 2....but not with the hamsters, one of them is evil, so I don't feel bad when i only play with one. The spiders stay in the tank, and I also feel bad whenever I feed one of my fish, and the others are sitting there (they are in seperate tanks)
The cockatiel gets all of my attention. Birds are awesome

Yes I also feel guilty. I have 9 cats that stay inside and 2 dogs that stay inside. All rescues. If I pet one everyone starts coming up one by one. I would be here all day if I petted everyone. Also mine get jealous of each other. It's tough. They are worse than children!!! None are ignored. I promise.

I have 3 needy cats, a needy husband and an ADHD stepson we get on the weekends. My one cat is unusually needy - BEYOND needy!! I understand your dilemma. I divide up my attetion as equally as I can. Everyone gets as much love from the mama as I can give. Including the parents who have become more needy the last few months. No, I don't get much done on some days. I take it day by day and do special things for everyone when I can depending on who they are - cats get some weed(cat nip), hubby gets(use imagination), etc.....
As long as you can give quality of love I think they can understand that as well as quantity.

No, I never felt that way, because for me, it always "evened out" ....I would play with one and then the other at another time (I had two dogs...Hobo and Peanut)...they both loved different games to play with me, so I never felt like I was leaving either one out.
