No one in the world has better credentials to do this than King J-C : he it was, when he was first placed on the throne by Franco, faced by right-wing demands for the exclusion of communist reps in parliament, insisted that, as long a he was king, they would have equal rights of representation.

J.S. I'm not anti-Hugo, in fact I rather like him - especially his act at the UN, when he called Bush the devil.
However, on this occasion, I felt the world should notice Juan Carlos's royal performance. It showed he cared, as his first action re Commie representation in Spain showed all those years ago.:

It's rather ironic that it was the King of Spain as monarchies are anti-democratic. So Chavez has an advantage there.
